RobotChallenge

RobotChallenge is the European championship for self-made, autonomous, and mobile robots. Since 2004, more than 1.000 robots from all over the world have taken part in the competition.

RobotChallenge 2012: March 10-11, 2012 in Vienna

The RobotChallenge offers suitable competitions for beginners as well as for experienced robot designers. In addition to the possibility of exchanging ideas and innovations within an international group of participants there is also an excited audience as reward for the months of work in the area of informatics, electronics, mechanics and artificial intelligence.

    Competitions

    Robot Sumo

    Just like the traditional Japanese sport, the combatants try to force each other out of the ring. This competition is organised into various weigth classes: Mega, Mini, Micro, Nano, Humanoid and Lego as well as a Mini-Sumo Deathmatch.

    Humanoid Sprint

    Human-like robots have to complete a course by walking or running as fast as possible.

    Puck Collect

    This competition calls for special interaction between sensor technology, mechanics and artificial intelligence. Here the robots have to collect small discs on the course according to colour.

    Freestyle

    In this category participants are encouraged to demonstrate their robotic creations, even if they do not fit into one of the other competitions. There ar no restrictions. Your only limit is your imagination.
