Linefollower

Aim of this competition is to follow a black line on a white underground as quickly as possible. The picture shows a possible construction of the course. The actual course may differ. The line is black and approx. 1,5 cm wide. A standard isolating tape will be used to mark these lines. The underground is white and composed of 50 x 50 cm plates. The drawing shows which types of plates can be combined to a possible route.

As the course is composed of single plates, there could be minimal steps or cracks. Striking places of the course are marked left and right of the line (e.g. with flags). The robot has to pass through these markings. The space between two markings is at least 50 cm. The space between two lines is at least 25 cm. The robot may not exceed 50 cm in length and width.
