The RobotChallenge is the one of the world's biggest competition for self-made, autonomous, and mobile robots. This yearly, successful event will takes place on a Saturday in spring in Vienna since 2004. The basic idea of the competition is to inspire and motivate the creative forces in young people to become involved with innovative technology, research and science. Same as in the recent years, participants and audience will be able to experience the fascinating ways, in which science can be practically applied.
The event is organized by InnoC.at in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry for Science and Research, the Slovak robotics initiative Robotika.SK and the Slovak University of Technology. The cooperation between these organisations ensured a high standard and gave the event an international character.
The next RobotChallenge will take place on 20-21 March, 2010 in Vienna. Your robot can compete in one or more of the following challenges:
Aim of this competition is to follow a black line on a white underground as quickly as possible. Details

The First European Robot Sumo Championship will coincide with RobotChallenge 2010.
Two robots compete and try to push their competitor off the field. There are 3 different weight classes: Standard Sumo (3kg), Mini Sumo (500g) and Micro Sumo (100g), Nano Sumo (25g) and Humanoid Sumo. Details
Two robots compete. Each robot gets a colour (red or blue) and starts at his home base. The aim of this competition is to carry all pucks of your assigned colour to your home base. Details
Human-like robots have to complete a course by walking or running as fast as possible. Details
In this category, authors are encouraged to demonstrate their robotics creations, even if they do not fit into one of the other competitions. Details
